CALL FOR NOMINATIONS (Awards Brochure)
Amid the urgent and shared challenges of sustainable development, there exists a critical need for increased international collaboration and transparent sharing of knowledge. Recognizing that today’s youth hold the key to shaping the future of businesses and technology, the Society for Education and Research Development has launched the SERD Sustainability Awards.
This prestigious award is designed to inspire adherence to sustainability principles while fostering innovation and uninhibited exploration. It seeks to recognise individuals playing pivotal roles in leading the way towards a sustainable future. The SERD Sustainability Award honors the outstanding achievements of individuals who have made significant original contributions and breakthroughs driving sustainable development and advancing human civilization.
- Award nominations are invited from the Organizational Leaders, Researchers, Academicians or Practitioners as per their functional area matching with the Award Categories.
This Annexure contains a list of Awards that has been updated for the year 2024 in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs), along with their descriptions, nomination criteria, and procedure. Each year, nominations for these awards are invited in the prescribed enclosed proforma for consideration by the SERD-Board of Awards.

NOMINATION CRITERIA
- The contributions and achievements of the nominee should have the potential of significant impact on the sustainable development in the respective fields recognized for the award.
- The contributions and achievements of the nominee should be properly documented and verifiable.
- The nominee should have demonstrated potential for creative output and should not have received any award for that work earlier from SERD in the preceding 3 years.
- Self-nomination will also be considered.
- Sitting Governing Council Members and expert jury members are not eligible for any Awards.
- One nominator should not nominate more than one nominee for the same award. However, one nominator can nominate more than one nominee for a maximum of two award categories.
NOMINATION PROCEDURE AND SUBMISSION

- Submit your entries on or before 20 May 2024
- Evaluation by jurors will be from 21-25 May 2024. Jurors will contact participants for interviews only if they require more information. Participants should make a comprehensive submission of their innovations with a clear explanation and demonstration of their innovations.
- Results of SERD Sustainability Award 2024 will be on announced virtually on 25 May 2024.
- MTE: SERD Sustainability Awards will be given on 10 – 11 June 2024 at Yogyakarta, Indonesia during the Annual CSR Conference.
ENTRY REGULATIONS AND GUIDELINES
All entries must comply with the following:
- Entries must be submitted to the online awards submission system before last date. There will be no extensions granted under any circumstances.
- There are 8 Award Categories. Entries must be submitted into the category best described and most relevant to nominee’s achievement. If an incorrect category is selected, the Awards Committee reserves the right to disqualify the entry.
- As a guide, achievement(s) entered for competition must be an innovation/ idea/ initiative that is/are directly related to the SDG.
- Awards entry submissions, interviews and communications between participants and jurors (if any) will be in English.
- The Organizer restricts content that involves nudity, all forms of violence and exploitation, the cruelty of animals etc. This restriction is due to the diversity in age and cultural backgrounds of our global audience. All content must be appropriate for a general audience. Any inappropriate content submitted by participants will be duly removed without notice to the participant.
- The submitted content can be expressed in words, images, sounds or a combination of any, to enable efficient delivery of the critical messages to the judges. Each submission must include items (a) to (h) as explained below in Curriculum Vita:
- A short description or summary of achievement(s) (250 words)
- List of research publications in SCI and Scopus journals along with Web of science and Scopus author link (if applicable)
- List of Patents Granted and published (if applicable).
- List of Design certificates Granted (if applicable).
- List of Research projects along with all details (if applicable).
- Details of the real world projects undertaken right from conceptualization to execution and impact assessment.
- The Organizers reserves the right to the use of photos, videos, synopsis, and write-ups that participants have provided in the online awards submission system for the purpose of the promotion of ‘Society for Education and Research Development Sustainability Award’ and publicity of your innovation and participation.
- The same entry may be submitted into multiple award categories maximum for two award categories. If you wish to enter your achievement(s) in more than one category, you will need to repeat the online submission process for every category that you choose. For example, if you are submitting achievement(s) for 2 different categories, you will be required to make 2 online submissions.
- The jury will evaluate entries submitted in the online submission system. Jurors may request for more information at any time to support validation which might include online interviews, emails or telephone calls.
- The jury’s decisions are final and no appeal will be entertained.
- By participating in these Awards, each participant/exhibitor undertakes to guarantee that all information, documentation and media content submitted are original, accurate, and there is no violation or infringement of the intellectual property and copyright law. Participant(s) is/are solely responsible and liable for any violation or infringement of intellectual property rights or copyright laws. PROTEMP Exhibitions and Conferences and all stakeholders for this event assumes no liability for any form of IP or copyright infringement by participants.
